Character Day is on Wednesday December 2, 2015. Students will be served lunch and have their specials as usual on that day.
Students must come dressed as their chosen character. Get creative and make a costume with whatever materials you have at home.
Students will be working with many teachers throughout the day on different activities.
All students need to be an expert on their character!
Students will have to know traits that describe their character. Traits are words that describe the personality of someone. These words describe how someone is on the inside, not their physical appearance. For example, adventurous, brave, smart, clumsy, etc. My third graders have received a list of character traits and we have gone over character traits in our interactive reading notebooks.
Students will also have to know how their character looks, acts, and feels. For example, Cinderella felt sad when her stepmother and stepsisters mistreated her, but was happy when the Prince wanted to marry her. Another example is how Elsa felt scared when her powers were discovered by her people, but she felt grateful to Anna when her sister helped her.
Students will receive a rating for each activity they do.
I will be taking pictures, so check back in a few days :)
